2020 AGM Arrangements

This Note sets out the arrangements for the 2020 Annual General Meeting of the PMCPA, postponed in the light of the Coronavirus pandemic. This year the AGM will take place online, with copies of all documents and contributions also sent by hand to those Members who do not use emails in their dealings with us. Such Members may, of course, join the online version.

This section of our website includes an Agenda; all Reports and contributions by the Officers of the Association and the Partners of the Pinn Medical Centre; and papers on the Constitution and the Election of Trustees. In addition there is a series of video clips of what, in normal times, would be the Board Members on the top table. Our guest David Simmonds MP has also contributed a set of remarks (and a short video clip).   You should click on the AGM Paper to see the document, and the item description to see a short video clip.  You can also click on Trustee Videos (Complete) to see what is in effect a continuous video of the top table.

As is always the case at our AGMs a number of items provide for a vote of all those attending. These are;

  • Approval of the Minutes of the 2019 AGM; and
  • Acceptance of the PMCPA Accounts for the year ended 30 April 2020.

In addition, Members are asked to vote on:

  • Changes to the PMCPA Constitution;
  • The Election of three new Trustees;
  • The re-election of seven existing Trustees.

All these Resolutions are supported by the detailed papers and a Voting Return is included for Members to complete and submit online, or by hand or by post to one of the addresses below.

Our AGMs also provide a valuable opportunity for Members to ask questions of the top table. Although it will not be possible to support live questions this year, we are providing an opportunity for Members to submit questions and comments on any of the contributions and to do so (and receive answers) while the voting window remains open. They may be submitted via our Contact page on the website. The responses will be sent directly to the Member with hard copies put up onto our notice board at the Pinn Medical Centre and placed on the website. Questions and comments may also be submitted to any of the addresses set out below.

The timetable for this year’s AGM is as follows:

  • Questions and comments to be submitted by – 21 December 2020;
  • Responses to be available by – 28 December 2020;
  • Voting returns to be submitted by – 4 January 2021;
  • Minutes of AGM 2020 including outcome of voting to be available by – 18 January 2021.

We do hope you will be able to join in our Annual General Meeting this year.
