At the PMCPA’s Board meeting on 9 July 2015, Jim Bradford formally tendered his resignation as Chair and Trustee. The Board elected Joanne Daswani as Acting Chair.
Jim has made invaluable contributions to the PMCPA at several levels over the last five years. He has: helped it to make significant improvements to its efficiency in delivering voluntary patient services; held extensive discussions with PMC Management to ensure that patients’ concerns were known to the PMC; successfully kick-started the complex process of making the membership of the Board more reflective of the population it serves; and taken the challenging yet necessary steps for the Association to create a robust new Constitution that will allow it to develop into an even more effective body in the future.
Jim was also instrumental in forming the Harrow Patients’ Participation Network, whose membership comprises representatives from the majority of PPGs across Harrow.
Jim’s departure from the Board will allow him a long-awaited opportunity to pursue numerous other interests but will, nonetheless, continue to be involved with the PMCPA as a volunteer.
On behalf of the PMCPA’s membership, the Board wishes to thank Jim for his years of hard work and dedication to the Association. We wish him all the very best for the future.
Joanne Daswani
