Honour for Sheila Cole
Sheila Cole, a long-standing Board Member of the Pinn Medical Centre Patients’ Association, has been awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) in the New Year Honours list that has just been announced. The citation is – “For services to the community in Pinner”.
Sheila was a founder Member of Pinn Patients’ Association in 2001. She started by helping the surgery as a volunteer driver, and in 2009 she began co-ordinating the transport for all those unable to get to hospital or surgery appointments, shopping and visiting. For 15 years she also organised the distribution of the Pinn Piper.
